We are Jill & Dirk Feikema.

We purchased our home at Sand Prairie in 2015 after we fell in love with the East Edge development, Miller Beach and the Indiana Dunes.  It is a destination for year-round enjoyment...close to our home, we feel like we've had a true vacation in just a short time.

 

We are a well-traveled and hospitable family and we bring this experience to our dune home. Dirk is well-versed in plumbing and construction so we have handily fixed things up to be very comfortable and functional. In college and grad school, Jill learned German and worked in Germany.  She later joined World Renew, a development and relief non profit, where she learned French and spent 2 years working in West Africa to assist a women's cloth-dyeing cooperative.

 

Our whole family loves traveling and have stayed in many incredible places -- some extravagant and others very simple but genuine and homey.  Each place has its charm -- we most love the people we meet, the history and the art and architecture of every place we visit.   We enjoy meeting new people; we love hearing their stories and hosting people from all over the world.  We love our dogs too and enjoy hiking and traveling with them whenever we can.

 

It is our hope that you too can enjoy this lovely place at the Indiana Dunes.  

 

Hosting is our super power!​   We own the house so that we can share it and our #1 goal is that you are blessed by your stay with us. We want you to feel at home; and we pray that you go away refreshed and recharged for life beyond vacation.  Please come and find a bit of respite in the nature of the dunes and fall in love with the community of Miller Beach.
